When you eat sushi, you have opportunity to eat Wasabi too.  Wasabi is Japanese horseradish and it is familiar to Japanese. The taste is very spicy, so almost all children are not able to eat it.  However, Wasabi goes well with  food such sushi and steak as a palate cleanser, so we adult like to eat dish with Wasabi.

Nagano prefecture is the most famous place to produce Wasabi and it is produced about 800 tons in a year.  Wasabi is a delicate plant, so clean water  is essential to grow up and the temperature of water in Nagano is the best for Wasabi.

大王わさび農場 / 安曇野市 

The most famous place to produce Wasabi in Nagano is 大王わさび農場 (Daio Wasabi Farm). The water of melted snow is very flash and clean, so the staff can harvest Wasabi which is produced there throughout the year.  We can visit here anytime as free and we can eat something to eat with Wasabi like ice cream.  Also you can take a boat and see beautiful stream when it is sunny.  Let’s go there and try to eat Wasabi !
