What was the most surprising culture when you came to Japan? There are many unique cultures in Japan so you can find some difference of culture. As one of them, most restaurants in Japan provide free water and hand towels as service. I took this for granted in other countries as well, but this seems to be a culture peculiar to Japan. Japanese people often use the word “Omotenashi” means hospitality. We can relax by using warm hand towels and we don’t have to pay for drinks because the water is free. If you come to a Japanese restaurant someday, please experience Japanese hospitality culture like this.
