神の子池 (Kaminoko-ike)
Kaminoko means child of GOD and ike means pond.  We are not sure why the name is including GOD but the surface of pond is so beautiful.  When it is sunny, the color of water is emerald green and so clear.  we can see fallen trees clearly and the appearance looks fantastical.  The temperature of water is kept for 8° so those fallen trees don’t go bad and you can find a number of fish in the pond.  Kaminoko-ike is in Hokkaido and this place is famous for clear water.  The water of Kaminoko-ike comes from groundwater and about 12,000 tons water come from nearest Mashu-lake.  The water quality of Mashu-lake is the most clear in Japan.  That is why we are convinced the water is so beautiful.Also this place is surrounded by woods so you can feel relax while viewing the pond.  The best season is June to November so we recommend you to go here and take a nice photos !
